Random Love : Fall Fashion

Fall is the fun season of layering pieces of clothing.  Everyday, I am always looking forward on what to wear; trying to mix and match what I have in the closet.  I haven't bought a lot of ensembles for this season and so I just have to look for some inspiration and as what Tom Gunn always says in Project Runway, I have to "Make it work".

Here are just a few of fall fashion inspiration via Pinterest.

Loving the First Half of Fall

It's Saturday afternoon and I am just finally unwinding from a week-long of meetings and trainings at work.  Although it was a short week because of the Thanksgiving long weekend, it seems that as the temperature starts to drop, days are just much more dragging than the usual summer days!  Awwww... Even though fall had just begun, I am starting to miss summer.  But then again, it's going to take a whole year before that season of summer sunshine will come again, and so, what's left to do is to enjoy what fall has to offer.

Don't get me wrong.  I love fall.  Well, the first half of it anyway. Haha!  I love how all the greens transition into reds, oranges and browns.  I love how everyday, the colours are changing and leaves are falling as the cool breeze blows.  I love the layering of clothing during this season because we get to mix and match different textures and patterns.  I love how strolling along the park seems much more romantic than those strolls in the summer.  I love the way my hand feels when we're holding hands.  I love coffee dates and movie nights.  Oh, there are just too many things that I love most about this season.

Everyday as I take my commute to and from work, the bus passes by a bridge overlooking a park.  Nowadays, the view is so overwhelming that as the bus drives by the bridge, I can't help but just stare in awe and get consumed by the most amazing view.  Just picture this : a vast space filled with different kinds of trees, adorned with the oranges, browns and reds of this season.  Oh my goodness.  It actually does not matter whether it's sunny or cloudy because the autumn leaves just goes with every "backdrop".   It's so relaxing to look at this scenery everyday before I go to work and after coming from work.  It's kind of like my remedy that makes me unwind from the usual work stress.

It's mid-October already and temperatures started to drop drastically, making it seem like winter is just around the corner.  Because of this, I am in such a rush to visit more parks, take pictures and just absorb this first half of the lovely season.  Once the leaves are gone, which is kind of happening already, then fall just seems so sad and blue.  And yes, it just denotes one thing: winter is here.

And so, before that happens, I am off to enjoy and make the most of this season.  During thanksgiving weekend, we took some family photos by the park near our place.  Today, Glenn took me to Bluffer's park and did a little fall photoshoot.  It's not that "fall" there yet since green trees are still abundant and there are just a few trees with reds and oranges.  We definitely have to go back again in a week or two.

What about you?  What do you love most about this season?  I'd love to know!

Have a comfy cozy weekend!  :-)

One Word : Love

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life.  That word is love."

Just A Little Breather

Let me just vent out a little bit.  I can't let everything get bottled up inside because I know that once I can't take it anymore, I would just explode and feel even worse.  It's unfortunate that things have been quite difficult and challenging lately and it's just sad to see the people that I love getting hurt.    Sometimes I wish that I can do something to take their pain away and hope that things would go back to the way how things were.  But, then again, there's nothing much to do but to move forward and just let time heal everything.

Have you ever been in that same place as I am now, wherein as much as I want to do something, the only thing I can do is just be there for them and try to be extra extra understanding.  It had just been a couple of days, but it feels so much longer.  I want things to be normal but no matter how hard you try to sugar coat it, at the end of the day, you dwell on the situation and it's like you're back to square one.

I feel sad.  The one person that comforts me when I am down is the person who needs to be comforted now.  Even though I am longing to have conversations and say sweet nothings, it's just necessary to give a little room to breathe for him to try to cope up with things.   This got me thinking of things in the days to come.

Would things be better or would it just stay the same as today?  I just want to be there and stay with him, but I know that sometimes, it's better to give space and just let them know that you are there for them.  I realized that you can't really force people to feel better when the truth is that they are still not okay about the situation.    Leave them alone for now but tell them that no matter what happens, you will be there to support them.  Tell them how much you love them.     Sooner or later, they will call you and before you know it, things are starting to go back to normal.

I need to be strong.  I just have to express what I am feeling and hope that things will be better tomorrow.

Life is amazing.  We should make the most of it.

Blogtoberfest 2012

It has been quite a while since I have blogged.  Sometimes, no matter how much I wanted to spend my spare time on the blogging world, I was just way too exhausted from the stress at work plus my 1.5 hour travel time going home, that I just kind of took blogging for granted and had this notion of "i'll blog tomorrow...." but then, never really did.  Anyway, I know it's frustrating whenever you want to do things but then there are times that there aren't really enough  time for everything.  I have missed blogging.  I even miss blog hopping.

But anyway, moving forward, I am happy to announce that I am back!  For good, I hope! So, I am keeping my fingers crossed in hoping that I would be able to manage my stress and time wisely in order to find even just a tiny bit of my time to blog and say hello to my online friends!  Because of this, I challenged myself to join the Blogtoberfest 2012.

What is Blogtoberfest anyway?  Well, it's an annual blogging festival to challenge yourself to be able to blog every single day for the whole month of October.  Details of this Blogtoberfest can be found here.

I think that it would be lovely to get myself out there to meet new friends and to establish the foundation of the online shop that I would like to open before the year ends!  I have been inspired by wonderful bloggers through their success stories and basically just the mere fact that it's nice to read and connect to other fellow twenty somethings just like myself!

I am so excited for this challenge and I hope that this would be the extra push that I need to keep on going.  :-)  Happy first of October!!!

Friday, 7 September 2012

Can you believe how time flies by so quickly?  It's Friday once again and that just made me extra extra happy!  This week had been kind of stressful at work, considering that we just had 4 work days because of the labour day weekend.  My week had been pretty much meetings, reports and trainings... Oh boy.  I am so glad that it's over.  I was actually checking my calendar for next week and it is going to be loooooonger and even more stressful than what I had for this week.  You only what that means... I have to enjoy every bit of the weekend!  <3  Yay!  I have a couple of things that I want to accomplish : 1. finish and order Chelsea's photobook, 2. print photos, 3. re-decorate my little "studio"/ desk, 4. cook chilli and bake corn muffins, 5.  try to make some polymer clay beads, 6.  practice photography (free-lensing and diana lens).  Well, so far, those are the ones in my list; other than the usual Glenn days that I am always looking forward to! Oooh and of course, the fact that I can sleep and wake up late and not worry about anything. haha!  :-)  Anyway, that's all for now!  I'm off to start checking things off of my list!

What are you up to this weekend?  Enjoy it as much as you can!  I know I will! <3
