It's Saturday afternoon and I am just finally unwinding from a week-long of meetings and trainings at work. Although it was a short week because of the Thanksgiving long weekend, it seems that as the temperature starts to drop, days are just much more dragging than the usual summer days! Awwww... Even though fall had just begun, I am starting to miss summer. But then again, it's going to take a whole year before that season of summer sunshine will come again, and so, what's left to do is to enjoy what fall has to offer.
Don't get me wrong. I love fall. Well, the first half of it anyway. Haha! I love how all the greens transition into reds, oranges and browns. I love how everyday, the colours are changing and leaves are falling as the cool breeze blows. I love the layering of clothing during this season because we get to mix and match different textures and patterns. I love how strolling along the park seems much more romantic than those strolls in the summer. I love the way my hand feels when we're holding hands. I love coffee dates and movie nights. Oh, there are just too many things that I love most about this season.
Everyday as I take my commute to and from work, the bus passes by a bridge overlooking a park. Nowadays, the view is so overwhelming that as the bus drives by the bridge, I can't help but just stare in awe and get consumed by the most amazing view. Just picture this : a vast space filled with different kinds of trees, adorned with the oranges, browns and reds of this season. Oh my goodness. It actually does not matter whether it's sunny or cloudy because the autumn leaves just goes with every "backdrop". It's so relaxing to look at this scenery everyday before I go to work and after coming from work. It's kind of like my remedy that makes me unwind from the usual work stress.
It's mid-October already and temperatures started to drop drastically, making it seem like winter is just around the corner. Because of this, I am in such a rush to visit more parks, take pictures and just absorb this first half of the lovely season. Once the leaves are gone, which is kind of happening already, then fall just seems so sad and blue. And yes, it just denotes one thing: winter is here.
And so, before that happens, I am off to enjoy and make the most of this season. During thanksgiving weekend, we took some family photos by the park near our place. Today, Glenn took me to Bluffer's park and did a little fall photoshoot. It's not that "fall" there yet since green trees are still abundant and there are just a few trees with reds and oranges. We definitely have to go back again in a week or two.
What about you? What do you love most about this season? I'd love to know!
Have a comfy cozy weekend! :-)
xoxo
